Ah 'Chaouen
Surrounded by the Rif mountains, at the top of a hill sits the never once used Spanish mosque overlooking the Medina of Chefchaouen. Exit the medina gate at Bab Al Ansar, meandar past the small waterfall to the left and the Ras el Ma river where the locals can sometimes be seen doing their washing. Cross the road and up some stairs and head right to the very top. About a mile each way, its a steep climb but lots of places to stop and take it all in. Stop for them all.
